Nathan and Mary Johnson, Lead Pastor

Nathan and Mary Johnson along with their boys moved to Grand Forks in February 2008 to plant a new church.  Prior to pastoring in Grand Forks, they ministered in Minot, ND and Newell, SD as senior pastors and in Minot, ND as youth pastors.  Nathan graduated from Trinity Bible College, Ellendale, ND majoring in Biblical and Ministerial Studies.  He was ordained with the North Dakota Assemblies of God in 1991.  Nathan and Mary have three sons.  Steven, their oldest, is married to Brittany and resides in Grand Forks.  Daniel attends North Central University in Minneapolis, MN, and Benjamin is a senior in high school.  Nathan enjoys crossword puzzles, chocolate and dirt biking.  Mary enjoys playing classical piano, having coffee with friends, and watching a good movie.  As a family they enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and being outdoors.

 

Kyle and Tarah Trosen, Associate Pastor/Chi Alpha Directors

Kyle and Tarah Trosen, along with their son Meyer, moved to Grand Forks in November of 2008 to help plant Freedom Church.  Not long after they moved to Grand Forks they were asked to be Chi Alpha directors on the University of North Dakota campus.  In July of 2009 the Trosen's welcomed a little girl into their family, Nora.  Before moving to Grand Forks, Kyle and Tarah were interim youth pastors in Minot, North Dakota.  In his free time, Kyle enjoys hunting, snowmobiling and being in the outdoors.  Tarah enjoys reading, fishing, scrapbooking and the outdoors.  As a family they enjoy camping, road trips and family movie nights. Both Kyle and Tarah are pursuing ministerial credentials through correspondance courses.
